How Can I Get My Ex Back

I recently broke up with my girlfriend and I am wondering how I can get my ex back. There were some things said and some things done that I don’t know can be undone at this point but I really would like to try and reconcile our relationship. I never wanted to break up with her but now I fear it is too late.
